Chris Paul’s wife, Rajon Rondo’s girlfriend had altercation in stands

The fighting was not limited to the court.

According to multiple reports, the significant others of Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo also were involved in a physical altercation in the stands as the point guards feuded on the court Saturday night.

There were varying degrees of the reports of how serious the fracas in the stands was. The Los Angeles Sentinel reported that Rondo’s girlfriend pushed Paul’s wife, Jada, who was sitting next to Savannah James, LeBron’s wife. The Athletic said that a member of Rondo’s family “confronted” Jada. The Houston Chronicle said that someone made “inappropriate” comments to Jada.

It’s a potentially awkward situation for James, who has long been close friends with Paul and Rockets teammate Carmelo Anthony. Banana boat > Lakers teammates?

Paul was still fuming after the game, which the Rockets won 124-115, about the situation in the stands.

The NBA ruled that Rondo did spit at Paul and suspended him for three games, Paul for two and Brandon Ingram, who threw a punch at the Rockets star, for four.
