Brit boxing champion Anthony Yarde shows caring side with incredible belt gift for young child suffering from cerebral palsy

The WBO European light-heavyweight champion approached the youngster, known as Champ, in a gym and handed over the WBC belt.

Champ is a huge boxing fan and he was mesmerised when he first set his eyes on the iconic green belt.

He often goes to Peacock Gym in Canning Town, London to watch his favourite boxer in action.

The youngster was sat at a table on his own when he spotted Yarde walking towards the him.

And he leaped up and hugged the 27-year-old before he proudly put the belt over his shoulder and posed for a photo.


Yarde then joined him at the table as Champ struggled to control his excitement after receiving the unexpected gift.

Frank Warren tweeted a video of the act of the kindness, with the caption: "The young man is called Champ. He suffers from cerebal palsy.

"Earlier this year, he saw a @WBCBoxing belt and loved it so much that he wanted one.

"On his birthday, his favourite boxer @mranthony yarde surprised him."

And Yarde was bombarded with praise from fans on Twitter that had watched the heart-warming clip.

One said: "As a father of a child with celebral palsy I know something as simple as this will benefit that child for years to come, well done that man."

Another added: "I'm a bit of a critic of Anthony but fair play to you for this – such a nice thing to do for the young lad."
