The southpaw, who beat Liam Walsh in London in May last year, is lining up his next fight after beating Jesus Cuellar in New York in March.

His tattoo was inspired by the 1982 song and all-time best-selling album, which had one of the most iconic music videos in history and saw the king of pop turn into a zombie.

But the inking will need to be wrapped up for a while, meaning the artwork should look colourful in all its glory just in time for Halloween on October 31.

Sharing footage on his Instagram story, Davis captioned his video "RIP the GOAT" with the outline of the artwork, and then another one saying "not done yet".

American star Davis is part of Floyd Mayweather's stable, but there have been signs a rift is growing between the undefeated champ and his protege.

He was also arrested last month after a street brawl in Washington DC over a £7,500 bar bill.

The two fighters were charged with disorderly conduct and taken to a District of Colombia police station.

Davis has 20 wins and zero defeats so far in his career.

And he has a taste for the eccentric.

Last year, on the undercard for Mayweather's fight with Conor McGregor, he took to the ring in an outfit that looked vaguely like a Smuf.
