Anthony Joshua admits he is feeling pressure ahead of Alexander Povetkin showdown

Joshua will put his WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight title belts on the line against a potentially dangerous opponent.

And the Watford man said: “There’s loads of pressure, tons of pressure. That’s the reality of it.

“Even though we present ourselves as calm, cool and collected, we know what we’re in for.

"Not only this fight with Povetkin – every fight I’ve been in and every future fight I’ll be in. It comes with the same pressure.

"You’ve just got to roll with the punches what more can I do than give my best?

"And that’s what I’m going to do on Saturday night.

“Go out there – he strong to the head, whip him to the body, he strong to the body I’ll whip him to the head

“You find a way to win and grind it out.”

AJ remains confident and believes his skill matched with a winning mentality will continue to see him achieve success.

He added: “Skills aside, experience aside, I’ve fought with a lot of heart – I know I’ve got a lot of fire in my belly so that’s just as important I think as well as skills.

“Over the time I’ve built up my skills but besides that I know I’ve got a lot of fire in my stomach.

Joshua will be fighting at Wembley for the first time since his epic knock-out victory over Wladimir Klitschko last April – but insists he feels used to major stadiums after two subsequent successes at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.

The 28-year-old Watford warrior said: “This doesn’t feel new to me anymore. Wembley feels like home now.”
