Michael Bublé is "retiring" from music after the release of his next album

Michael Bublé has confirmed that he will quit the music industry following the release of his forthcoming album.

Titled Love, his 10th studio record will now be the jazz vocalist’s last, after a traumatic couple of years in his personal life.

Bublé’s young son Noah is currently in remission from liver cancer, a diagnosis which completely changed the Canadian’s outlook on the world.

Chatting to the Daily Mail Weekend magazine, Bublé said of his decision to retire from the limelight: “I don’t have the stomach for it any more. The celebrity narcissism. This is my last interview. I’m retiring.

“I’ve made the perfect record and now I can leave at the very top.”

Reflecting on how he coped with Noah’s devastating diagnosis, Bublé admitted: “I never called it the hospital, I called it the fun hotel. And every day I got extra bed sheets and I’d build a tent for Noah. I just made the best of it. Survival.”

The 43-year-old explained that he is rethinking his whole life, with questions such as “Why are we here?” and “Is this all there is?” taking up much of his thoughts.

“It’s been such a difficult exercise. But my whole being’s changed. My perception of life.”
