Demi Lovato Cancels Tour, Concerts Canceled, Rehab

Demi Lovato has a long road to recovery ahead of her. The 25-year-old was in the hospital for almost two weeks after suffering from a drug overdose and has since checked into a rehab facility. The length of D.Lo’s stay at the treatment center is unknown, but it appears that she’ll be staying out of the spotlight for several months, as she just canceled the remaining dates of her Tell Me You Love Me Tour.

DF Entertainment announced yesterday that the singer’s scheduled fall 2018 concerts will no longer happen. Demi was supposed to head to Mexico at the end of September and continue playing shows across South America until the end of November.

“Unfortunately, Demi Lovato has cancelled the dates of his tour #tellmeyouloveme in South America, to concentrate on his recovery,” the entertainment company’s announcement reads in Spanish. “The six cities tour was scheduled to visit Chile, Argentina, and Brazil starting on November 14. The shows in Argentina and Brazil had Becky G as a special guest.”

Live Nation and Lotus Productions also released a statement announcing the cancellations and added, according to TMZ, “We wish Demi Lovato the best now and in the future and we hope to see her soon in South America.”

Refunds for all canceled shows are being offered.

Demi was set to perform in Atlantic City, New Jersey, just two days after her overdose, but that show was obviously canceled. A group of fans decided to still go to the venue even though the singer wouldn’t be there and put on their own concert in her honor.
