Lidl is launching a pop-up gin bar where you can get two FREE drinks – here's what you need to know

Even better, the tickets are free, plus all guests get two free drinks made up of two 25ml servings of gin and a mixer.

The drinks take inspiration from Lidl’s Hortus Gin range, and visitors will be able to enjoy gin flavoured with raspberry, rhubarb and ginger as well as rose and pomegranate.

Or they can enjoy a sample of Hortus’ dry gin, oriental spiced gin or citrus garden gin, as well as Lidl's broader gin range.

If gin isn’t your cup of tea but you'd still like to pop by the gin bar, you'll be able to to sample another spirit for free.

The pop-up bar launches in London first at 19 Greek Street on October 26 and 27.

It’ll then go on a nationwide tour throughout November, visiting Queen Street in Cardiff on November 2, 3 and 4 and Castle Street in Edinburgh on November 9 and 10.

Lidl is going to release 700 tickets each night – which may sound like a lot but you should book early to avoid disappointment.

You can book your free tickets here.

In fact, the popularity of gin has hit record highs in the last few years – and in the run-up to Christmas last year, more than 16million bottles, worth £413million, were sold.

So it's no wonder alcohol makers are becoming more and more creative in their product launches.

Recently Weatherspoon's announced that it is now serving glittery unicorn gin.

Meanwhile, both Asda and Aldi have started selling colour-changing gins.

B&M, on the other hand, has taken it one step further by stocking two cake flavoured spirits.
