Kim Kardashian Didn’t Know Where Pickles Come From

Kim Kardashian may consider herself a lover of food, but there was a point in time when she couldn’t quite grasp the origins of pickles, and she’s still a bit perplexed.

In a new video that was released on the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star’s official KKW app on Monday, September 17, Kardashian and her close pal Stephanie Shepherd read through some of the reality personality’s previous tweets.

In the app update, aptly called “Steph and I Read My Old Tweets,” Kardashian and Shepherd analyze a message the KKW Beauty founder shared in February 2010 in which she asks Twitter if a cucumber is a pickle. “I did not know this at all,” she added at the time.

However, instead of being ashamed by her lack of pickle knowledge, Kardashian 37, admits she’s no closer to knowing the answer to her query even though more than eight years have passed since she first wrote that tweet. “I still don’t even know, and I don’t care to research,” she confesses to her former assistant. “But is a cucumber a pickle?”

Though Shepherd seems a bit more confident in how exactly pickles are classified – “a pickle is a cucumber” – she tells Kardashian, adding that a pickle is, well, pickled, she’s also a tad befuddled when it comes to the brined snack.

“So the pickle comes from the cucumber, because it’s pickled?” Kardashian clarifies.

“A cucumber becomes a pickle,” Shepherd informs her pal.

For the record, a pickle is, in fact, a cucumber that has been pickled in a brine, vinegar or other solution and left to ferment for a period of time, but the confusion is understandable.

When introducing the old tweet via her KKW app, Kardashian was refreshingly self-deprecating. “I can’t believe some of this stuff, you guys!” she explained. “So embarrassing lol.”
