A Kim Jong Un lookalike had This Morning viewers fooled when he appeared on the show on Thursday.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield unexpectedly announced a world exclusive with ‘Kim Jong Um’.

Suddenly a man bearing a striking resemblance to the North Korean dictator arrived on a specially-made red carpet followed by his infamous jogging bodyguards, before he made Holly and Phil kiss his hand to greet him.

It turned out that the man was actually a Chinese-Australian man called Howard X, who has been working as a professional lookalike since 2012.

Viewers were shocked by the reveal as many had been tricked into believing he was the real deal, with one tweeting: ‘Genuinely thought that was Kim Jong Un!’

The appearance of Kim Jong Un hadn’t been announced in the line-up at the beginning of the show, so it came as a surprise when the presenters revealed he would be coming on.

Holly said: ‘He’s taken some time out of his political diary to have a world exclusive chat with us.’

‘Kim’ then walked out to the sound of the North Korean national anthem as he waved to everyone in the studio.

Holly and Phil went to shake his hand before he offered it to them to kiss, which they did respectfully.

Viewers were shocked when it was revealed that it was actually a lookalike as they’d been tricked into believing it was the real deal (pictured), with one tweeting: ‘Genuinely thought that was Kim Jong Un!’

He took a seat on the sofa and the pair called over a translator, who translated his quotes to English.

When asked about talks with South Korea, ‘Kim’ said: ‘There will be no World War Three.. for now.’

The ruse didn’t last for long as the group – including the stony faced dictator – burst out laughing, as ‘Kim’ revealed his true identity.

The big reveal left viewers in shock as many had believed that it was genuinely Kim Jong Un.

One tweeted: ‘Hang on. I seem to have just turned on this morning and found Kim jong un on it?! #thismorning #whatthehell.’

‘Genuinely thought that was Kim Jong-Un on #ThisMorning,’ another posted with a laughing emoji.

A third wrote: ‘For once not a bad lookalike tbf.’

Howard X said he realised he had a striking resemblance to the dictator when he was first introduced into the public eye.

The fake Kim even made Holly and Phil kiss his hand (pictured) as they referred to him as ‘supreme leader’ when he made his dramatic entrance

Phil was forced to apologise when Howard said he attempted to ‘get a s**g’ from the cheerleaders at the Korean Olympics because of his appearance. Pictured: Holly and Phil after Howard swore on This Morning

Howard said: ‘I thought ”Wow this really looks like me, I can make a living as a genocidal maniac, or at least looking like one.”’

He caused a stir on This Morning when he said he attempted to seduce the cheerleaders at the Korean Olympics earlier this year.

‘Being on Valentine’s Day, being the god of North Korea, I thought I could actually get a s**g,’ he said.

The moment shocked Holly and Phil, with Phil jumping in: ‘Sorry about that! It may be acceptable in Australia but not here. How romantic you are.’
