Golden Globes 2019 nominations announced: Full list of nominees

Roll out the red carpet — awards season 2019 has officially arrived.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards nominations Thursday, with the trophies set to be awarded on the live telecast Jan. 6 on NBC, with hosts Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg at the helm.

Terry Crews, Danai Gurira, Leslie Mann and Christian Slater were recruited to shout out the year’s best performances and productions on film, television and streaming platforms.

HFPA president Meher Tatna also announced the creation of a new award honoring “the highest level of achievement in the medium” of television.

“Equivalent to its film accolade counterpart, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, this new annual award will honor TV’s biggest names and brightest talents,” Tatna said. “Honorees will be selected based on their outstanding accomplishments, as well as the impact and influence that their television career has had on the industry and audiences. The importance of this presentation is underscored by the fact that this is the first special achievement award of its kind since the DeMille Award was originally presented in 1952.”
