Eagle-eyed royal fans pointed out a blonde woman just visible in the background of one of four shots released to the public, which shows a radiant Eugenie hand in hand with her new husband as they make their way to a private dinner at Royal Lodge Windsor – blissfully unaware of the interloper behind them.

Closer inspection suggests the mystery woman, who appears to be taking a selfie, is Eugenie’s close friend – and Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend – Cressida Bonas.
