The series premiere of the Roseanne spinoff, The Conners, is inching closer, and it seems like the cast and production team haven’t had much trouble with moving forward with the new show after the messy Roseanne debacle. There’s quite a bit to anticipate, including the return of original castmate Johnny Galecki, who played David Healy, the love interest of Sara Gilbert’s character Darlene Conner. Galecki was on Roseanne from 1992 to 1997 and made an appearance in one episode of the reboot. While it’s unclear how many episodes of The Conners he will appear in, he is getting ready to have more free time on his hands. He has been a regular on The Big Bang Theory, which is now in its final season.
Galecki’s character in The Conners has a new girlfriend named Blue, who will be played by Juliette Lewis. Lewis announced that she was cast for the show on Tuesday, posting a photo with Galecki and Gilbert. The show will premiere Oct. 16 on ABC.
