We already know Ashley Graham is a badass model who can deliver a fierce clapback in as little as four words, but did you also know she can recover from a crazy tumble and injury in, like, three minutes flat?
While hosting the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday night, Ashley went backstage for one of her several outfit changes but fell down a bunch of stairs and ended up with a huge gash on her leg. She documented it all on her Instagram Stories so everyone could wonder how the hell she got back up and finished the show. Seriously, a true feat. I would’ve been down for the count the rest of the show.
In the videos, Ashley explained, “Ok so I’m doing some quick ass changes, you guys, and then, of course, I fell down the stairs.” Falling while hosting an internationally televised pageant definitely sucks, but the silver lining is at least she didn’t fall on the actual stage! If it had been televised, it miiight have been right up there with Steve Harvey’s Miss Universe winner mix-up. Though, IDK if anything will ever top that one. Sorry, Steve.
Ashley also reassured her fans that she’s going to recover just fine. She said,
“I got the medics on me. I’m okay!…It actually looks worse than it feels, except that it is throbbing a bit.”
What a champ, honestly.
