Out with the old and in with the blue! Kourtney Kardashian is only welcoming positive energy following her split from Younes Bendjima.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 39, not-so-subtly addressed the breakup when posting an Instagram photo of herself floating in a hot tub on Monday, August 13, wearing a blue bikini with the word “salty” on it. Kardashian captioned the snapshot, “detox.”
Her photo comes one week after Us Weekly confirmed that the E! personally had called it quits with Bendjima, 26, after two years of dating.
The relationship had “ran its course,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “Young is working and busy and Kourtney is busy with her three children.” (Kardashian shares Mason, 8, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 3, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.)
A second insider told Us that “there wasn’t any dramatic moment” leading to the split and Kardashian ended things “because it just wasn’t working anymore.”
Shortly before the breakup made headlines, photos surfaced of Bendjima vacationing in Mexico with another woman. However, the Algerian model addressed the images and slammed reports that he cheated on Kardashian.
“They really want me to be the bad guy. F—k your Hollywood bullshit 9can’t have fun with your friends no more,” he wrote in an Instagram Story post on August 7. “Where are my 12 other friendssss Nice catch though.”
But Kardashian and Bendjima haven’t fully closed the door on their relationship. A source told Us that “there’s a little chance” the couple could reconcile, but Bendjima would “have to make a major change.”
“He’d have to grow up,” the pal noted. “There were a number of reasons it didn’t work, but at the end of the day, the main reason was a maturity issue.”
