Where Will Pregnant Duchess Meghan Give Birth?

Duchess Kate delivered all three of her and Prince William’s children in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital. And her pregnant sister, Pippa Middleton, was spotted arriving at the exclusive maternity unit on Monday, October 15. But Duchess Megan, who is expecting her first child with Prince Harry, might break from royal tradition.

“Harry and Meghan are exploring options for the birth,” a Kensington Palace source told Us Weekly. “No decision has been made yet on where the baby will be born. Meghan does not have to deliver at the Lindo Wing and she can deliver wherever she would like.”

It’s easy to see why Duchess Kate chose the Lindo Wing. As the website boasts: “Our world-class maternity care, combined with a personalized service, will relax and resource you throughout one of the most emotional and exciting experiences of your life.”

The Lindo Wing was opened by the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in 1937. Georgie McGrath, a British mom, told Us Weekly the private rooms are worth every penny. “Once you’ve had your baby, they do a special sort of menu for the parents,” she gushed in 2015. “You can have a full-on four-course meal with champagne and candles and everything like that.”

Kensington Palace announced on Monday that the royal couple, who tied the knot in May, will welcome their first child in spring 2019.  Starting a family was a priority for both Harry, 34, and the Suits alum. In November 2017,  gushed that they wanted to have a little one in “the near future.”
