Watch Chris Hemsworth Do a Truly Impressive No-Equipment Workout

In a new Instagram video Chris Hemsworth posted of his no-equipment workout, the Thor actor embodies the fitness motto, “No pain, no gain.”

While the short routine is relatively simple, it’s effective enough that after the Australian star has finished it, he cries out, “My legs! My legs don’t work!”

“Try this 10 times through,” Hemsworth captioned the “little leg burner” sequence he posted on December 10, which he credited to @da_rulk of Rulk fitness. “No equipment needed, low impact and super functional. You’ll feel like you’re wearing a pair of concrete gum boots afterward ??.” The actor then tagged his trainer, Luke Zocchi of Zoco Body Pro, who is seen and heard encouraging him throughout the fitness clip.

The routine starts with four rapid squats and moves directly into forward and backward crawling on hands and feet. It also includes a crawling version of core-intensive burpee sit-thrus as well as dynamic push-up modifications. There is no rest between any of the workout moves.

Always in muscle-bulging shape, the Avengers star, 35, noted in another Instagram video that he’s stepping up his sweat sessions for his latest film, action thriller Dhaka. “The character I’m playing at the moment is ex-military so I’ve been mixing up my training working with a few super humans with military backgrounds,” he wrote on a November 13 video of a gym workout. “The focus is on strength, speed, mobility and little to no rest to build endurance. Feeling goooooooood! Also been working on the sound I make after side kicking the heavy bag yeoooooooow  ???????? #giveitacrack.”

When the actor originally trained to play superhero Thor, he only focused on bulking up. “The first time I did it I would just do weightlifting,” he told W in 2017. “I didn’t work in as much sort of cardio or functional flexibility, sort of movement training which I do now. It’s much better.” Though he said he was “probably a little bigger the first time around,” he admitted the bulk wasn’t worth it: “I felt very stiff and sort of uncomfortable. Now, I feel much more, like it’s useful kind of muscle, functional kind of movement and training.”
