We’ve learned plenty of new details surrounding Donald Trump’s affairs since he launched his election campaign. In the midst of Donald Trump Jr.’s divorce from Vanessa Trump, rumors started circulating that he, too, might have a few relationship secrets to hide.
His affair with a pop star, though still technically unconfirmed, might have been more scandalous than we thought. There might even be a song about it.
Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr. were married for 12 years

Donald Trump introduced the two back in 2003, when Vanessa was still modeling. Two years after meeting, the two married at Mar-a-Largo. They had five kids together, and remained together until Vanessa filed for divorce in March 2018.

The two met on the set of Celebrity Apprentice in 2011. She was a contestant; he was an “adviser.” Though neither has confirmed the rumored relationship, sources told Us Weekly their affair began as taping wrapped up.

In a rather unoriginal move to win O’Day’s affection, Donald Trump Jr. reportedly told the Apprentice contestant that “it was over with his wife, that they were separated and he didn’t love her.” He and Vanessa were still together — they had their second son around the time the affair allegedly started.
Next: It’s unclear how long Donald Trump Jr. originally planned to stay with O’Day.
Their affair lasted less than a year

Their time together, like many inter-marital relationships, didn’t last. Sources claimed their affair lasted from the end of 2011 to March of 2012. It’s unclear how much longer they would have stayed together if they’d been more secretive about exchanging messages.

Donald Trump Jr. only ended his affair with O’Day when his wife found out about their relationship. She discovered an email exchange between the two of them shortly after their third child was born. Their marriage survived two more kids and nearly six more years after that discovery.

The pop star was not happy about the end of their relationship. Sources also told Us Weekly that things between the two “were very serious” and that O’Day “fell for him hard. She thought they were going to be together for real.” So she (sort of) found a way to get back at him.

O’Day’s 2013 album features a leading track titled “DJT,” which happen to be Donald Trump Jr.’s initials. Some speculate that the lyrics tell the story of their affair and how she felt about him before he broke things off.
