Pregnant Jessica Simpson’s New Family Pic Will Make You Feel Merry

Two angels! Pregnant Jessica Simpson took to Instagram on Sunday, December 9, to show off a photo of her children, Maxwell, 6, and Ace, 5, after they performed in a winter school program.

“I’m so proud of my kiddos for being such standout talents!” Simpson captioned her post, in which the siblings sport matching navy blazers with gold buttons.

The singer-turned-retail-queen also shared a snap of herself and her husband, Eric Johnson, posing with their kids following the show. Wrote Simpson: “My family is my happy place.” In the adorable snap, Ace sat perched on Johnson’s shoulders, while Simpson gazed adoringly at her daughter. Though the Dukes of Hazard actress kept her baby bump hidden by standing behind Maxwell, Johnson was happy to flaunt his Christmas sweater featuring a bare-chested, hot bodied Santa Claus.

Simpson announced in September that she and the retired football player were expanding their brood. “This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” she revealed on social media at the time. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

A source told Us Weekly that the couple, who tied the knot in 2014, were “surprised but overjoyed” when they discovered Simpson is expecting. “Jessica and Eric are over the moon,” the insider added. “They are so happy and very excited.”

Last month, Ashlee Simpson told Us that she and her sister, Jessica, are their own little mom support group. (Ashlee and her husband, Evan Ross, are parents of Jagger, 2. She is also mom of Bronx, 10, with former spouse, Pete Wentz.)

“Jagger’s my first daughter, so things she’s dealt with Maxwell on, I can call her about,” the Ashlee + Evan star told Us in November. “It’s really nice. We both give each other advice. Actually, I think don’t that it’s advice. We just talk to each other about things.”
