Mike Sorrentino and Wife Lauren Dish on Babies and Sex!

Let the bump watch begin! Newlyweds Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Lauren Pesce are actively trying to get pregnant.

“We’ve been working on it the past week, so we’ll see,” Sorrentino told Us Weekly on Saturday, November 3, just two days after tying the knot. The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star, 36, is hoping for a son. “I mean, I would love a boy first,” he admitted.

Pesce, 33, noted that both she and her college sweetheart are one of four children. “We like chaos and a busy, loud home,” she explained. “I think we would definitely want at least three, but we have none right now, so that’s pretty ambitious.”

Quipped Sorrentino: “We’re excited for little Situations!”

The couple feel the clock ticking as they will be separated in the new year. In October, Sorrentino was sentenced to eight months in prison and two years of supervised probation for tax evasion. The MTV personality is ordered to surrender no earlier than January 15, 2019.

However, the the pair are not worried about the separation. Their relationship is rock solid.

“It’s gonna be a blip on the radar,” Sorrentino told Us. “We’re happy to start a family now.”

Pesce is certain they can survive anything as a couple, and pointed to how her husband has been clean for more than two years after battling an addiction to painkillers. “If you have ever been through someone getting sober through recovery, if you can come out on the other side of that successfully and in a positive way, anything is possible,” she explained. “Like he said, a blip on the radar and not a concern for us.”

Sorrentino proposed to his longtime love on Valentine’s Day 2018, while filming season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

“I approached the executive producers and I let them know, ‘Listen I really want to do this. This show is really special to me. This is the show that introduced me to the world,’” he told Us in April. “It was really special for me to do this, to get down on one knee on Jersey Shore.”
