Brigitte Nielsen shocked the world in May 2018 when she announced she was pregnant at age 54 with her fifth child. After defending her choice to the media, she welcomed her daughter, Frida, with her husband Mattia Dessi, now 40, in June. “I have given hope to a lot of woman. I get so many letters, emails and they are happy and excited,” Nielsen told USA Today in November of her success after 11 years of IVF. “But you have to be realistic.”
Post-baby, the Danish actress wasn’t done breaking new ground. Mere months after welcoming her 5-pound, 7-ounce baby girl, the model, who has four grown sons from previous relationships, stepped onto the red carpet and stunned with her impressive weight loss and in-shape figure. “Two weeks after, I’d lost the weight,” she explained on Britain’s panel show Loose Women on November 29. “It was so strange… and I had turned 55, I thought it’s going to be a long road ahead to kind of get your body back. Instead, it’s been pretty easy. I feel so content.”
