There’s a new wizard coming to Waverly Place! David Henrie and his wife, Maria Cahill, are expecting their first child.
“ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL. Im a Poppa!!!!! Im so overwhelmed with joy I had to share this with you guys,” the Disney alum, 29, wrote alongside an Instagram clip of himself and Cahill discovering their baby’s gender on Wednesday, September 5. “I’m already singing ‘I Loved Her First.’ That reminds me. Where’s my shotgun? I don’t have a shotgun. Someone get me a shotgun! I can’t wait to sit her down on a couch and tell her a 9 season story of How I Met Your Mother #baby #itsagirl #shotgun #poppa #dad.”

Henrie and Cahill tied the knot in April 2017 in an old Hollywood-themed wedding attended by his former Wizards of Waverly Place castmates Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, David Deluise and Maria Canals-Barrera.
The Little Boy actor also tweeted about the happy news, writing on Wednesday, “I’m so excited!”
Henrie and Cahill recently enjoyed a European getaway nearly three months before learning of their baby’s sex. “Been so long since I had an actual vacation. Very fortunate to get to go on one with my love,” Henrie captioned an Instagram photo of the twosome embracing in June. “Viva Capri!”
Days later, he shared a picture of Cahill kissing his cheek during a dinner date in Rome.
