One proud mama! Blythe Danner gushed over her daughter Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding to Brad Falchuk on Sunday, September 30, and it’s safe to say she is completely thrilled over the nuptials.
“It was gorgeous,” the 75-year-old Meet the Parents star, bundled up in a cozy sweater, told Image Direct photographers just one day after the ceremony, as she was out and about in East Hampton, New York. “It was the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen.”
Paltrow, 46, and the 47-year-old American Horror Story cocreator tied the knot in a star-studded celebration on Saturday, September 29, in Hamptons, New York. In attendance for the bash were many famous friends, including Robert Downey Jr., Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Spielberg, Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden and Rob Lowe.
Prior to their big day, Seinfeld hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner for the newlyweds at his and wife Jessica’s home in East Hampton, New York.
A source told Us Weekly that the soiree — which included a live band — began at the 64-year-old comedian’s home around 6 p.m. and “went strong” until 10:30 p.m.
“A cover of The Beatles’ ‘I’ve Just Seen a Face’ was one of the final songs before valet service retrieved cars parked on a street beside the Seinfeld property,” the source told Us.
The party also included a five-minute stand-up routine by the sitcom star, whose wife is close pals with Paltrow.
“It was filled with lengthy tributes to the couple and no shortage of glowing praise for the bride,” a second insider explained to Us. The insider added that Paltrow’s loved ones gave speeches for “about two hours” during the evening.
The Goop founder showed off her and Falchuk’s wedding bands hours after they became husband and wife. Paltrow posted a picture to Instagram of their simple matching gold bands.
