11 Beers That Won't Wreck Your Low-Carb Diet

The hardest time to cut carbs (okay, besides Thanksgiving) is def football season. But while you’re taking your burger off the bun and staring longingly at the stadium pretzels, know that there’s one classic food you don’t need to cut if you’re watching your carb count: beer. ?

According to Jessica Perez, R.D., a typical 12-ounce serving of beer contains anywhere from seven to 14 grams of carbs. But your standard low-carb beer (yes, those exist!) has no more than four grams.

You can usually tell a beer is going to be low-carb if it has the word “light” on the label. But Perez says you should still look for the specific carb count to be sure (many beers, especially light beers, will include it on the label)—especially if you’re sticking to a ketogenic diet. Thankfully, there are plenty of low-carb beers out there that fit the bill:

1. Budweiser Select 55
