Starbucks Has a Secret Facebook Group for People Obsessed With Fall

It seems like the entire country is in the middle of a perpetual heat wave this summer, but there’s a glimmer of hope on the horizon. That’s right, folks — fall will eventually be here, and for those who love this transitional season, Starbucks has started a secret Facebook group.

Called "the Leaf Rakers’ Society," the Facebook group’s mission is to be a place "that celebrates…Fall. Year. Long." and to be "a forum where we constructively work together with Mother Nature to help Autumn arrive earlier in the calendar year."

The rules are simple — no hating on fall; all topics should be fall-related; no mentioning non-Starbucks products; no religion, politics or potty-talk; and Starbucks is allowed to use anything you post on the page.

But we have an inkling the group will be used for something else: announcing when pumpkin spice lattes will finally be available this year! In the past, the drink has been offered in August, but it’s also been kept in the vault until well into September. The fact that Starbucks is already jumping on the autumn bandwagon seems like a good sign for those of use craving our fave fall beverage — could it be that the PSL is almost here? Only time will tell, but we’re definitely joining the Leaf Rakers’ Society in the meantime so we can keep tabs on all things fall.

You have to request to join the group, and once you do, you’re prompted to answer a question: Which is better, autumn or fall? Look inside your heart to find the best answer, then wait to see if the admins will approve you. In the meantime, you can check out some fall recipes to get your in the spirit of the season or even try your hand at making a boozy pumpkin spice latte at home.
