But if sipping on a glass of fizz while tucking into your fave treat isn’t dreamy enough for you, there’s a baking product out there that blends bubbles with frosting, aka the best part of any cake.
Lakeland’s Prosecco Flavor Frosting is made for covering and filling cakes with that sweet bubbly buzz. The good news (or bad news, depending on which way you look at it), is that it’s alcohol-free. But you don’t have to be a star baker to use it, because the frosting is ready-to-use and requires no mixing or measuring, just a piping bag to decorate with.
The frosting launched in July 2016 alongside a gin and tonic-flavored version. With a price tag of £2.49 (yes, it’s only available in the UK right now), it quickly sold out shortly after launch and according to a Lakeland spokesperson, the brand has since had to double its stock of both of the popular products.
Prosecco’s popularity has grown so fast in recent years that experts have issued multiple warnings of possible shortages of the stuff. And now you can drink your bubbles with rose gold glitter while you admire the Prosecco polish on your nails, so it’s unlikely everyone’s love of anything to do with Italian sparking wine is going to dwindle any time soon.
