Win tickets to see Giovanna Fletcher at Happy Mum Happy Baby Live in our competition

The 33-year-old mum of three is taking her conversation about motherhood face-to-face this November and we are giving you lucky readers the chance to be there.

Fabulous is the prestigious media partner of Happy Mum Happy Baby: Live!, an evening complete with panel discussions about motherhood, including our relationship with our bodies and how parenting can change who we are.

Giovanna, wife of McFly’s Tom Fletcher, 33, published her first non-fiction book, Happy Mum Happy Baby, last year in order to dispel the idea of the ‘perfect mother’.

With such an overwhelming response, Giovanna wanted to keep momentum going and launched her podcast to highlight different accounts of parenting.

And now, she is embarking on her first live event at The Shaw Theatre in King Cross, London on Thursday November 29.

Giovanna says: “When I wrote Happy Mum, Happy Baby, I wasn’t sure what the reaction would be. But the response was astounding.

“On the book tour I stopped at many places around the UK for Q&As and saw just how wide spread the desire for honesty is within parenthood, especially thanks to picture perfect, carefully filtered, families on Instagram.

“There’s so much expectation and judgement – largely from ourselves – that we can often end up feeling like we’re the only ones getting it wrong. But we aren’t.

“The truth is none of us really know what we’re doing, and the important thing is giving yourself the space and confidence to find a way that works for you.

“After the book tour I wanted the conversation to continue. I didn’t want to just stop there. So, the podcast was born.

“Being in the studio to have these chats has been great, but now it’s time to go back to being live.

“ HAPPY MUM, HAPPY BABY: LIVE will be an extension of everything that’s come before it, but with more guests to hear from.

“We’ll be talking about the relationships with our bodies post children, how loving your body has a huge part to play on your maternal mental health and how having children changes your perspective on what’s important in life as we juggle with expectation vs. reality.

“I hope parents will come out feeling empowered knowing they really aren’t on their own!”
