Want to lose weight? Fitness blogger says 24 minutes of exercise is all you need

An Aussie fitness blogger has revealed her tips for staying trim, and she says you need just 24 minutes in the gym. Sounds pretty manageable to us.

Laura Henshaw has built a fitness empire called Keep It Cleaner with her fellow model Stephanie Claire Smith.

“People think that 24 minutes a day is so big and that you don’t have time to workout, you don’t have time to eat healthy, but you do have that time," the 25-year-old told News.com.au.

"For me, if I don’t do my workout in the morning, I’m so grumpy. I feel lethargic, I’m tired, I’m just a better person if I get it done."

Laura swears by high-intensity workouts, which get your heart rate up quickly – and promise to leave you "covered in sweat".

Laura Henshaw's day on a plate

  • BREAKFAST: Green smoothie (protein powder, spinach, almond milk, banana, courgette and matcha)
  • Or poached eggs with charred greens and guacamole
  • LUNCH: Vegetable pasties, or tofu salad
  • DINNER: Grilled salmon steak and veggie salad
  • SNACK: Clean chocolate chip cookies, or chickpea blondie slice
  • TREAT: Glass of red wine, or dark chocolate

Her ideal workout includes "a combination of something like running or HIIT training, something to get your heart rate up, get the endorphins pumping through your body, making you feel really, really good".

Laura and Stephanie started their business with a clean-eating cookbook three years ago – and they now have 340,000 combined followers on Instagram.

In more weight loss news, scientists have accidentally discovered a drug that could let you eat as much as you want WITHOUT gaining weight.

While here's why you NEED a burger after a night out – and how to beat the cravings.

And Burger King is now selling fried halloumi burgers (but there’s a catch).
