Do you go for a family name? Something traditional? And do you want your offspring to have the same name as four other children in their class?
Well some parents in Alberta, Canada, are unlikely to have that problem, thanks to a brilliant new list that has gone viral online.
Every year Alberta's government department lists all the baby names for the previous year – and they are getting more and more bonkers as time goes on.
Whereas 2015 saw the wonderfully named Thirdy and Thexan and 2016 heralded the introduction of Awesome and Legend, 2017 – which has just been released – has outdone itself.
One set of parents named their daughter after Game of Throne's star Daenerys whereas there was also an Anger, Queen, Poet and even an L.
Meanwhile boys were called Godspower, Nitorious-Shyne and Cola – like the fizzy drink.
On Twitter people were in their element.
One person wrote: "The Millennial parents of Alberta have given the world enough baby names to song-title a dozen 1970s Rush albums."
Another added: "THIS IS NOT A DRILL ALBERTA BABY NAMES LIST IS UP."
