Selena Gomez has long been one of our go-to affordable fashion gurus for everyday style, but it wasn’t until her latest (and much-anticipated) release of her new single “Bad Liar” that her ultra-shoppable wardrobe translated into her onscreen persona. In the video, released exclusively on Spotify on Thursday, Gomez brings her sultry charm to life in a much less done-up version of herself than we have seen in previous video projects. In little more than an oversize T-shirt in some shots and a matching white lingerie set in others, Gomez’s vibe is real and raw — and somewhat affordable, too. As it turns out, her lace lingerie set is from Spanx and costs less than $100 for the pair.
The bra, which costs $48, and the briefs, which ring in at $38, are from the brand’s bridal collection, but somehow, the pretty white lace seems almost edgy on the singer. The sentiments are echoed by Spanx founder Sara Blakely in a statement to Refinery29 in which she says, “We are so excited to see Selena in our newest Spotlight on Lace collection. [Selena] shows[Selena]satile[Selena]utiful the styles can be. Everyone wants lingerie that does more for them, but is pretty and feminine at the same time.”
Though Gomez looks effortlessly stunning on the red carpet in everything from a white Coach gown to wine-hued midi dresses, her off-duty style is, arguably, what we love best about her. She rocked a denim jumpsuit like few others and frequents affordable fashion brands like H&M and Zara more often than not. In short, her style is not only enviable, but it’s also quite frequently accessible.
