Harrods unveils beauty advent calendar containing 25 luxury treats (but it’ll set you back £250)

Not your average chocolate countdown, Harrods has unveiled a peek inside its own offering – and it’s all beauty.

The luxury department store has shared the 25 products hiding inside its beauty advent calendar, and it’s not cheap.

The calendar will set you back a whopping £250, but it’s said to contain £680 worth of goodies.

Hitting the shelves for the first time last year, the calendars – which contained only £595 worth of treats – sold out.

So this year they’ve decided to go bigger and better.

Some of the big name brands hiding behind the doors this year are Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Huda, Bobbi Brown and Givenchy.

Annalise Fard, director of beauty at Harrods, said this year’s calendar represented the best of cult classics and must-have beauty products.

She told Bazaar: “Not only are we able to champion much-loved brands that they are already familiar with, but we are also able to offer them the art of discovery – introducing them to new, contemporary brands such as Tata Harper, Sunday Riley and Sol de Janeiro.”

They were “blown away” with the success of last year’s calendars, and Annalise admitted they had “upped their game” this year.

And she added: “Consumers are becoming much more health conscious – so instead of eating chocolate every day, self-gifting yourself an incredible, luxury beauty gift seems like a much safer option for the waistline!”

The calendars will go on sale from October 1, and will be available to buy in-store and online.
