Gigi, Bella, Anwar and Yolanda Hadid recreate iconic dinner scene from Beetlejuice clad in New York Fashion Week designs for bizarre Vogue film

Gigi, 23, Bella, 21, brother Anwar, 19, and mum Yolanda, 54, recreated the iconic dinner party scene from Beetlejuice for the latest Vogue video, and it's totally bizarre.

Lounging in an OTT avant-garde home and dressed head-to-toe in haute couture creations from New York Fashion Week, the Hadids gamely followed in Victoria Beckham's footsteps and poked fun at themselves for the fashion Bible.

The short film is a parody of a famous scene from Tim Burton's cult 1988 classic Beetlejuice – and guest stars Men In Black 3's Nancy Ozelli as the maid.

In the original movie, Delia Deetz (Catherine O'Hara) hosts a dinner party, but the guests become possessed and forced to dance to Day-O (The Banana Boat Song).

Now fashion's first family have put their own spin on it, in a clip which starts with Yolanda summoning her kids to dinner on a megaphone.

As Bella reluctantly drags herself from the sofa, where she's texting her mates, the family gather around a feast of fast food, fizzy drinks and bowls of crisps – served under cloches and dished out with silver spoons.

Raising her cocktail, Yolanda tells the family: "I just want to make a toast, because I'm so happy to have all three of you home tonight.

"That doesn't happen very often. And I just wanted to say…"

But the speech trails off, as Yolanda becomes possessed and starts singing Day-O – luring her kids up to their feet to boogie.

Adding a 21st century twist to the film, Gigi and Yolanda do the floss dance – as the foursome begin to move in unison.

The bizarre dinner dance is then brought to an abrupt halt by an ear-piercing scream, as the family remove the tops to the platters in front of them, and see their own heads trapped on the plates.

After a short cutaway, the family wake up on the floor – in different outfits – suggesting it was all a dream.

Vogue created the clip to pay tribute to the "ghosts of the 80s" who inspired the clothes on the runway at NYFW – where Gigi and Bella played a starring role.
