Coca-Cola launch limited-edition cinnamon flavour drink for the festive season

Coca-Cola is rolling out a new flavour over the festive season – the new limited-edition cinnamon flavour zero sugar will coming to a shop near you from this month.

Fans of the soft drink brand will be able to pick up 500ml and 1.25l bottles at selected retailers nationwide, including at major supermarkets Tesco and Asda . But it will only be available until December, so shoppers shouldn’t leave it too long to give it a try.

The drinks giant announced the newest edition on their official Facebook page earlier this week, posting the message:

"What’s that? A brand new, limited edition flavour? Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Cinnamon is here! Hitting select stores near you very soon, for a limited time only."

Alec Mellor, from Coca-Cola Great Britain said, “Since launching Coca-Cola zero sugar, we’ve introduced an exciting addition of new flavours to the range.

“For a limited time only, we are excited to announce the launch of Coca-Cola zero sugar Cinnamon, that we hope our current fans and those looking to try a new flavour will love. It’s a drink full of festive flavour and no sugar, perfect for the lead up to Christmas.”

The new edition has been launched in response to the general public’s love of the flavour, and will certainly help to get Coca-Cola fans into the festive spirit.

And fans are already taking to social media to celebrate. One Twitter user posted: "Coca Cola cinnamon sounds right up my alley."

Another shared their happiness at the announcement by tweeting, "coca cola is releasing a cinnamon version???? life really is too blessed".

One Twitter user called Euan was so keen to track down the new beverage they tweeted supermarket giant Tesco directly with a message that simply read: "Tesco are you planning on stocking the limited edition coca cola Cinnamon".

The supermarket dutifully replied: "Hi there Euan, we will be launching the line in the future, when our next range launch goes live between October – November. TY – Eilidh :)"

But you can’t please everyone – and some Twitter users have also hoped online to share their disdain at the new flavour option too.
