It comes with the territory: wear a plunging gown, run the risk of a nip slip! These stars have chosen to gamble with wardrobe malfunctions by wearing extremely low-cut dresses and going braless. And you know what? It’s worth the risk! Kristin Cavallari, 31, found that out the hard way when she experienced a little oopsie at the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards on August 26! Kristin was a ray of sunshine in a bright yellow coat-style dress with an incredibly low neckline. It was impossible to a wear a bra with that number — as everyone soon found out. Her nipple accidentally made an appearance. Oh, well. She looks fab!
She’s not alone; so many of our other favorite celebrities have gone this very Cavallari route and picked dresses too low-cut to wear bras underneath! Kim Kardashian, 36, is basically the queen of this look. In our gallery above, there’s three examples alone, and that’s barely scratching the surface! We’re pretty partial to an outfit she recently wore for a “casual” dinner with friends in West Hollywood at Craig’s Restaurant. It consisted of a dress that was more apron than actual clothes, held together in the back with basically a string. She paired the midi “dress” with knee-high, black leather boots. There was no way she was wearing a bra with that thing. She was likely safe from a wardrobe malfunction though, as it was only plunging in the back. But if that string came loose… all bets are off!
What do Kim, Gigi Hadid, and Hailey Baldwin have in common? No, it’s not Justin Bieber. They love lingerie-inspired dresses! Considering that what they’re wearing is technically underwear already, there’s no need to wear anything underneath. Slips are so very 90s, and so very in!
