The worst dressed stars in TV Week Logies history

And the winner is… not this lot! From eye-popping cleavage to dramatic frills and unusual accessories – the WORST dressed stars in Logies history

It may be Australian television’s night of nights, but all eyes are on the red carpet fashion at the annual TV Week Logie Awards.

And as celebrities prepare their show-stopping frocks and dapper suits ahead of Sunday’s event, Daily Mail Australia look back at the WORST dressed over the years.

From extreme cleavage and dramatic frills to thigh-high hemlines, bizarre accessories and gold body paint, the event has witnessed some shockers.

With more than 55 individual celebrity nominees, a part from TV show nominations, over 21 categories, not everyone can be a winner on the night.

While we can’t predict which celebrities will walk away with a coveted gold or silver Logie, we can guarantee they’ll attempt to dress to impress for the evening.

However, no star is immune from a fashion fail at the red carpet event, with our homegrown Hollywood starlets Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie donning disastrous gowns in the past.

Margot Robbie: 2009

In 2009, well before her Hollywood career took off, Neighbours star Margot Robbie stepped out in a dramatic flamenco-inspired black and red mullet dress.

The strapless frock gave a very leggy display with its thigh-high hemline with voluminous frills.

Despite being pinned by critics as a fashion fail, Margot had attended as a nominee for the Most Popular New Female Talent for her role in the popular soap.

While time appears to have healed these fashion wounds for Margot, there were still some memorable misses last year.

Gamble Breaux: 2016

The Real Housewife of Melbourne star stepped out in an OTT get-up that left little to the imagination last year.

Gamble turned heads as she chose to accessorise with unusual leg jewels that overpowered her otherwise simple beige dress.

The frock’s side split showed off her trim pins, as she partnered the bizarre look with a pair of glitter-soaked heels.

Georgia Parker: 2016

Home and Away star Georgie Parker missed the fashion mark last year in a bronze silk gown that swamped her slender frame.

The 51-year-old actress opted for a floor-length plunging Constantina and Louise dress with ruched detailing around her stomach.

Making the look appear over-the-top, she also paired it with House of Emmanuele body jewellery and two cuffs that her dress’ fabric draped from.

Susie Elelman: 2014

The Australian television presenter is known for being a fashion risk-taker who regularly flaunts her ample assets on the red carpet.

In 2014, she put on an extreme eye-popping display as she showcased her impressive cleavage in a busty plunging dress.

Further attention was attracted to the feisty blonde’s frock at the time, as the one-time model wore the exact samedress to the Logie Awards in 1995.

Brynne Edelstone: 2010 & 2013

Brynne, the former wife of businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, never fails to shock inscantily-clad ensembles on the red carpet.

Over the years, the famous face has shown plenty of skin at the TV Week Logie Awards, including a bright red mini number in 2013 and white tassel look in 2010.

Geoffrey previously told The Daily Telegraph: ‘Her (Brynne’s) style is just kind of purposely out there and not strategically fashionable. It just kind of like crazy, and a little tacky.’

The red carpet at the 2004 Logies saw some colourful characters.

Melissa George: 1994

The model and actress’ frock may have been similarly to that of a jester, but Melissa definitely had the last laugh at the Logies in 1994.

She was an actress on TV soap Home And Away at the time.
