Friends who grew close because of their common ethnic ties, Bebe Rexha and Dua Lipa both absolutely melted down when discovering that they had separately received their first Grammy nominations yesterday. Bebe Rexha posted a video to her IG grid from a friend showing her balling her eyes out when she discovered that she had been nominated in two categories, taging the post “#DreamComeTrue.”
In an entirely different location, Dua Lipa posted her first Instagram Live Stream, sobbing uncontrollably as she tried to thank her fans for her own two apparently unexpected nominations.
In the video, Dua Lipa can be seen with some friends sitting around a hotel room in a hoodie and jeans without makeup early in the morning. Between fits of weeping, she tries to drink Champagne directly the bottle before gagging and spitting it out all over herself.
Today, Bebe posted a tweet with a picture of the two pop singers embracing each other at a music industry event. In her tweet, Bebe wrote,
Two Albanian girls nominated for 2 Grammys. In my heart we already won. To all the Albanian girls and all the girls around the world, anything is possible so keep following your dreams and keep on breaking the mold.”
