All royal-watching eyes will be on Pippa Middleton and James Matthews’ wedding on May 20 for plenty of reasons, one being whether Prince Harry will have a special plus-one on hand for the nuptials.
After previous reports said Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Markle, was unlikely to score an invitation to the event due to a ‘no bling, no bring’ rule—there’s been speculation Pippa doesn’t want to be upstaged on her big day—People reports Meghan will attend the wedding. However, she won’t be at the ceremony at St. Mark’s church in Engelfield, England, with a source telling the publication she will join Prince Harry and everyone at the reception afterwards, which will reportedly be held at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury.
People who will definitely be at the wedding will be Pippa’s sister, Kate Middleton, brother-in-law, Prince William, and niece and nephew Princess Charlotte and Prince George. The infant royals will be involved in Pippa’s big day—Prince George will be a pageboy, while Princess Charlotte will play the role of the youngest bridesmaid. It hasn’t been confirmed whether the Duchess of Cambridge will have a starring role in the nuptials.
As for Prince Harry and Meghan, the couple spent a low-key Easter weekend together in Toronto, where Meghan films Suits. The prince was spotted arriving at Meghan’s home in Toronto on Wednesday wearing a baseball hat. His decision to head to Canada means he skipped his usual Easter tradition of attending services at St. George’s chapel at Windsor castle with Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the royal family.
It’s also another sign the two are super serious about each other.
