Tekashi 6ix9ine cops plea deal in NYPD assault case

Rainbow-haired rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine took a plea deal Wednesday morning in his NYPD cop-assault case.

The hip-hop artist, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct during a brief appearance in Brooklyn Criminal Court. He received a court fine of $120.

Under the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped the misdemeanor assault charge in connection to the summer incident.

Tekashi, 22, had been accused of squeezing an arresting officer’s hand too tightly after the cop cuffed him for an outstanding warrant at JFK Airport on July 11. Tekashi had the warrant out against him for allegedly grabbing a fan by the neck in a Houston mall in January.

The rapper was given a conditional discharge in the JFK case, which means he must stay out of trouble for a year or face the maximum sentence of 15 days in jail.

He also can’t file a notice of claim against the city and can’t discuss the case on social media or in interviews under the conditions of the plea deal.

On his way out of the Brooklyn courthouse, a braided-hair Tekashi was flanked by a bodyguard, prompting a reporter to ask if he is concerned about his safety.

“Why would I be concerned?” the rapper replied. “You see me. I’m out in my city.”

Last month, a judge went easy on the rap star and sentenced him to four years’ probation for posting a video online of a 13-year-old girl engaged in a sex act.
