The ex-Marine who killed 12 people at a country music bar in Thousand Oaks, Calif., including the niece of Sister, Sister actress Tamera Mowry-Houseley, committed the heinous shooting spree almost five years to the day of his divorce, according to court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com.

Ian David Long, who died at the bar after opening fire, and his former wife, Stravoula Long, separated after two years of marriage and were officially divorced on Nov. 18, 2013, according to documents filed in Ventura County Superior Court.
Ian and Stravoula were married in Honolulu, and he cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
“We agree to live separately and apart, and except for the duties and obligations imposed and assumed under this agreement, each shall be free from interference and control of the other,” according to the affidavit singed by the exes.

Ian was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from August 2008 to March 2013, according to Defense Department records.
Ventura County Sheriff’s officials said the 28-year-old shot and killed at least 12 people Wednesday night, Nov. 7, at the Borderline Bar & Grill, which was hosting its popular weekly “College Night” event.
Among the victims was Adam Housley and Tamera Mowry-Houseley’s 18-year old niece, Alaina Housley, who was at the country bar with friends.

“Our hearts are broken,” Adam Housley and Tamera Mowry-Housley said in a statement released to Us Weekly. “Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner.”
Ventura County Sheriff’s 29-year veteran Sgt. Ron Helus, who was killed in the line of duty, received a hero’s procession as his body was transported from Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday afternoon.
Helus, 54, was one of the first to respond to the scene and was shot several times as he entered the bar, Sheriff’s officials said.
