Ever since she confirmed there will be no third Sex and the City movie in September 2017, Sarah Jessica Parker — whether she likes it or not — has been involved in a public spat with co-star Kim Cattrall.
The drama reached a fever pitch in February when Kim BLASTED Sarah on Instagram for offering her condolences over the death of brother Christopher Cattrall.
Despite the controversy, SJP asserts “this isn’t a catfight” as she’s “never done anything” to her HBO cohort.
In response to rumors that she sent Cattrall gifts in order to make SATC 3, Parker told Extra on Tuesday:
“If one more person calls this a catfight… I’m not in a fight. I never fought with Kim. I don’t have to send any gifts to Kim, because I’ve never done anything. She has felt perfectly comfortable to say lots of things — that’s the beauty of living in a democracy — but I have no apologies, meaning, this isn’t a catfight. This is someone who chose to talk about something and myself, I remain grateful for her work and the role she played on and off camera for all the years we spent together.”
Sarah also denies that have been discussions to make another sequel without Kim, explaining:
“I have not had any, no… We went as far as we could last time and the studio said, ‘No, we can’t meet those demands.’ We were all signed up except for her. What are you going to do, right?”‘
Earlier this month, Parker wrote on social media that she can’t “imagine doing another movie without” the 62-year-old.
