They are said to have fallen for one another while filming the biblical epic Mary Magdalene.
Now, just two months after their romance was reportedly revealed, Joaquin Phoenix, 42, and Rooney Mara, 31, are already dressing alike.
The duo stepped out in Studio City, California on Saturday morning for a breakfast date in bright striped sweaters.

The Carol actress’ casual wear was a far cry from her usual red carpet glam.
She wore a striped yellow and brown sweater with blue jeans and canvas sneakers with a pair of quirky clear-framed sunglasses.
Joaquin opted for a blue striped sweater for the early morning outing.

Even their shoes appeared to be in sync, as Joaquin looked to be wearing a white pair of the same sneakers Rooney had on.
Rooney was still sporting the shortly cropped hair style she debuted on the red carpet in March.
The pair have been frequently spotted together since February, when it was reported by Page Six that they are ‘madly in love.’

However, a representative for Joaquin has insisted the duo are merely good friends, having previously worked together on the Spike Jonze-directed Her in 2013.
Rooney and Joaquin have since been photographed driving around Los Angeles together, as well as grabbing groceries.
In the upcoming Mary Magdalene, Joaquinplays the role of Jesus and Rooney features as the titular character.

In late 2016 during the filming in Italy, Joaquin and Rooney were spotted hanging out together, including one time when they were seen smoking on the balcony of their hotel room.
Mary Magdalene is set to premiere on November 24, 2017.
Rooney also has A Ghost Story out in July, which has just been selected to close out the Sundance Film Festival in London.
