Pink postpones her THIRD Sydney concert on Tuesday night after being rushed to hospital and diagnosed with a gastric virus

Pink’s performance scheduled for Tuesday, August 7 at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena has been postponed on medical advice, promoter Live Nation has announced.

The American singer, 38, was admitted to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney on Sunday night, suffering from dehydration. She was treated and discharged.

She was readmitted to hospital on Monday and diagnosed with a gastric virus and  remained in hospital overnight, continuing her treatment and recovery.

According to Live Nation, she will be reassessed by doctors on Tuesday and a further announcement will be made when an update becomes available.

Pink’s first concert in Sydney for her Beautiful Trauma world tour was scheduled for last Friday (August 3), but she cancelled that show on doctor’s orders.

Despite her health problems, she battled through a concert on Saturday night.

She postponed her second Sydney show on Monday, with Live Nation making the announcement around 4.30pm when many fans were already en route to the venue.

Oh, dear! After the announcement, a fan tweeted, ‘It’s good Pink cancelled, you don’t want someone flying above the audience with gastro. It would be a concert no-one would forget’

Pink’s Australian tour is scheduled from July 4 to August 26.

The musician, real name Alecia Beth Moore, last toured Australia in 2013 when she performed 46 shows as part of her Truth About Love world tour. 

After Monday’s show was postponed at the eleventh hour, fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter.

‘It’s ridiculous’: After Monday’s show was postponed around 4.30pm when many concertgoers were already en route to the venue, fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter

One wrote: ‘I’m all for her getting better considering she is sick but it’s ridiculous that you can cancel a concert with the door scheduled to open right now! Surely you knew she wasn’t well. Already on the train on the way out there.’ 

Another claimed they had travelled nine hours and paid for a night’s accommodation in Sydney in order to attend the show. 

‘Just found out tonight’s concert is postponed after nine hours’ travel and night to stay in Sydney,’ they wrote on Twitter.

Another Pink fan claimed they had lost two days of work in order to make it to the gig.

However, many fans also flooded social media offering their support for the So What star in the midst of her illness.

‘On our way to Sydney for a Pink concert and heard that it’s cancelled. She must be so sick, I feel so bad for her. Speedy recovery, gorgeous girl, don’t worry about your fans, just focus on your health,’ one concertgoer wrote.
