Having only just attended the second royal wedding of 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already arrived in Australia today, ready to begin their first royal tour together.
Meghan and Harry attended Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding on Friday, and it had been previously reported that the royals would be leaving the royal wedding reception early to catch a flight to Australia. Now, an Australian television network is reporting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have actually arrived in Australia, ahead of their tour.
And, unsurprisingly, everyone is extremely excited to welcome the royals at the start of their trip:
In fact, people are so elated that they even filmed Harry and Meghan’s British Airways flight literally landing on the runway:
It was previously reported that Meghan and Harry would be flying commercial to Australia, meaning that any one of us could’ve been on the same flight as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Per royal commentator Omid Scobie, Meghan and Harry will be staying in Admiralty House for the next week as they begin the royal tour. They will have a day to rest before their commitments start, though:
Even though the Duke and Duchess have flown on a regular flight from the United Kingdom, they won’t always be using public transportation during the royal tour. They’ll actually use a charter plane to get to Fiji and Tonga, and when they’re in New Zealand, they will apparently have the use of a New Zealand Air Force plane to get to most of their engagements. Plus, they’ll even need a helicopter when they travel to Abel Tasman National Park.
It’s going to be a very busy few weeks for Meghan and Harry.
