Just as Noah Cyrus promoted her new EP “Good Cry” — and conveniently timed a release of a trailer for her new music to coincide with her relationship drama — rapper Lil Xan returned to Instagram Livestream to respond to comments from fans with additional details about the breakup.
Lil Xan continued to stick to his claim that Noah Cyrus wanted to appear as if she was in a relationship with him mainly for career reasons. More specifically, Lil Xan felt that she wanted to appear to date him not to become more famous as a celebrity, but to make her music seem more relevant.
On the livestream, Lil Xan said
“I am more popping music-wise than her. That’s fact … So I’m not saying she was using me for “fame.” I’m saying she was using me to get more popping in the music industry.”
Lil Xan later added,
I just wanted to clarify. Yeah, she’s more famous than me as a person. But musically, no. No where near … all she does is use rappers to get features … She just uses rappers to get clout, to get poppin’ in the music world. She’s already poppin’ in the celebrity world, but she wants to get more poppin’ in the music world. And that’s where Columbia stepped in and said, ‘well, let’s get you more popping. We have Lil Xan here, he’s more relevant than you in the music industry right now … so let’s team this up.’”
The rapper indicated that he would not go away quietly, even though he seemed resigned to the fact that most will believe Noah’s version of the story. “…we can keep going all day … of course everybody’s going to believe the girl because, look at me. Look at my face. I look like a troublemaker.”
