Kim Kardashian Took the Most Over-the-Top Measure to Protect Her Daughter from the Flu

Kim Kardashian West is taking drastic measures when it comes to her youngest daughter Chicago West’s health.

At the launch of her KKW fragrance at an Ulta Beauty store in Calabasas, California on Thursday, the 38-year-old revealed to Extra that she sent the 10-month-old to stay with sister Khloe Kardashian and her daughter True Thompson in Ohio so she wouldn’t contract the flu, which has been apparently “going around” in the family.

“I sent her to Cleveland with Khloe,” Kim told the outlet. “I said… ‘Khloe, please take her for, like, four days, because she’ll get sick [at home] with everyone.’”

We don’t blame the beauty mogul for taking such precautions with her baby girl given that “children younger than five years of age, especially those younger than two years old, are at high risk of serious flu-related complications,” according to the CDC. Though we’re sure that the mom of three misses her daughter, she can rest easy knowing that she’s in good hands with her sister.

In one particularly adorable shot, the cousins look extra cozy all bundled in their jackets during an impromptu nap time in the car.

Kim clearly has faith in Khloe as a babysitter — and vice versa. During an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe revealed that she wanted Kim to be True’s legal guardian instead of eldest sister Kourtney, citing her and Kim’s similar parenting styles as the reason.

“Watching Kimberly be a mom, I really respect her parenting skills,” she said. “Not that I don’t respect Kourtney’s. I relate to how Kim parents more.”

“But at the end of the day, this family is so close and we love each other so much, and if anything, God forbid, were to happen, I know my daughter’s in the best of hands, no matter who her legal guardian is.”
