She’s experiencing a career resurgence thanks to her role on hit Netflix show 13 Reasons Why.

And Kate Walsh certainly seemed to be enjoying her time off before filming the show’s eagerly anticipated second season, as she hit the beach in Ibiza.

Donning a $285 crochet Kiini bikini – favourite of everyone from Bella Hadid to Margot Robbie and Hailey Baldwin – the  veteran actress tied her hair in a top knot for some casual swim time.

The single actress is enjoying a girl’s trip to both Ibiza and neighboring Formentera, both part of the idyllic Balearic Islands.

In middle-age, many actresses struggle to keep their careers in the spotlight.

The same was true for Kate, who after 20 years as a successful television actress saw a slowdown in roles following the cancellation of the long-running Private Practise, in which she played Dr Addison Montgomery.

However after a quiet 2015, busy Kate has two movies out this year – Girls Trip and Felt, and is onstage in the off-Broadway show If I Forget.

However it has also caused a huge amount of controversy, focusing as it does on the suicide of teenage Hannah, which is depicted in detail in one episode.

However Kate and her co-stars have defended their show,  with Kate explaining her thoughts in a recent interview with Coveteur.

‘It’s an important show, and it’s important for our times,’ she said, explaining that she spoke to a couple whose son had committed suicide before filming.

And she said it was important to discuss uncomfortable issues.

‘[It’s important] to develop language around it and communication, particularly around that time period when teenagers are supposed to be separating from their parents and becoming more individuated, rebelling, and becoming secretive and private,’ she said.

‘It’s very important to try and find a framework and develop ways to give young people the space they need to grow but also stay in touch and understand, and look for clues and signals when things may be going off track.’
