Last night, model Karlie Kloss took to Instagram to make a surprise announcement. Karlie posted a picture of herself in a wedding dress with fiancé Joshua Kushner and the date “10.18.2018”. Later, People Magazine followed up with Karlie’s management and they confirmed that she and Joshua were in fact married yesterday evening.
People’s sources reported that Karlie and Joshua held a small religious ceremony in upstate New York meant mostly for family, with under 80 people in attendance. People is reporting that the newlyweds “will also host a larger celebration for friends and loved ones in the spring.”
The wedding dress, which appeared briefly in a pic on a mannequin posted on Instagram Stories. The gown is reported by People to have been a custom design created for Karlie by Dior.
The Daily Mail UK reports that among the guests at the wedding were Karlie’s three sisters, Kimberly, Kariann and Kristine, as well as her parents, Kurt and Tracy. Representing Joshua’s family were his parents Charles an Seryl as well as his two sisters Dara and Nicole. Joshua’s older brother Jared was also in attendance with his wife Ivanka Trump and the couple’s three children.
It does not look like very many of Karlie’s friends from the worlds of fashion or entertainment were in attendance. Among those not at the wedding was likely one-time best friend Taylor Swift, who is believed to be traveling in Perth, Australia prior to kicking off the Australian leg of her Reputation Tour with Charli XCX.
However, Taylor, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra and Kendall Jenner all ‘liked’ Karlie’s announcement on Instagram, with Priyanka and Kendall leaving comments:
