Juliette Lewis shocked by how ‘homey’ ‘The Conners’ set was

Juliette Lewis was caught off guard by how comfortable the set of “The Conners” was while she filmed a guest arc.

Lewis plays Blue, David Healy’s (Johnny Galecki’s) girlfriend who was first mentioned in the “Roseanne” reboot episode, “Darlene v. David.”

“We shot the first [episode],” Lewis told ET of her guest appearance. “I could not believe how homey it felt on set and just comfortable.”

“I couldn’t believe they asked me to be a part of it,” she added. “I’ve known Sara Gilbert for a really long time, and our dynamic in the show is pretty funny.”

Lewis, who also will appear in HBO’s “Camping,” announced her casting on Instagram a few weeks ago with a picture of her sitting between Galecki and Gilbert. “HERE’S THE BIG NEWS!! Look what I’m doin!!! #LuckyMe,” she captioned the photo.

Gilbert’s character Darlene will also have a love interest this year, who will be played by Justin Long. While the “Roseanne” spinoff has gained a few guest characters, it doesn’t fill the apparent hole star Roseanne Barr created when she was fired.

“She is missed, definitely. After that many years, it’s like a family,” star John Goodman said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” “Last year was so miraculous and so unreal that when it went away it was almost like a dream.”
