US District Judge William Martinez has dismissed allegations made by former DJ David Mueller against Taylor Swift.
As previously reported, Mueller deemed the singer responsible for him losing his job, after Swift made allegations that he groped her backstage during a meet-and-greet at her Red tour back in 2013. As a consequence, the former DJ sought $3 million in damages.
But according to The Guardian, he failed to prove in court that the 27-year-old personally set out to have him fired.
Swift was visibly moved as the Judge read his decision, stating that there is “no evidence that her actions were insincere”.
The 27-year-old testified against Mueller on Thursday, the fourth day of the groping trial against the former DJ.
Swift said in her countersuit that she is seeking just $1, as the trial is an opportunity to stand up for women in similar circumstances. The jury is yet to consider her claim.
The story will be updated as further details emerge.
