‘There’s nothing like being able to come home and work’: Former Home And Away star Isabel Lucas to star in Australian RUGBY film Chasing Comets

She got her start in Australian soap Home and Away, before being launched into public awareness via the likes of Transformers and Red Dawn.

Now, Isabel Lucas, 32, is headed back to where it all began to star in sports film Chasing Comets, and she couldn’t be happier.

‘I appreciate being able to live in LA but there’s nothing like being able to come home and work,’ the blonde beauty told The Daily Telegraph recently. The publication reported that the naturally stunning actress spoke to them makeup free on the set of the upcoming film, still recovering from a one month trip to India.

Isabel will play the lead role in the rugby film penned by former NRL player Jason Stevens.

‘I just thought it would be fun and I love working on Australian projects and working here in general,’ she told the publication.

‘Jason Perini (director) is taking a really unique spin on a footy film with a very artistic take on it, which I find exciting.’

Having started out as Tasha Andrews in the humble Australian soap, the now-adult star’s comments show how much she’s matured artistically.

Surprisingly, the blonde bombshell doesn’t appear to be noticeably aging as her film roles continue to pile up.

She’ll star as Brooke in the film, alongside Dan Ewing, Stan Walker and Havana Brown.

Isabel has been based in Los Angeles for almost a decade now, with her 2009 appearance in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen still her most-known role.

Last month, the vocal wildlife activist spoke of how she manages her life in Tinseltown.

‘There are like 60 people in our little invite group now, but only about 12 to 16 come at a time,’ she told the Sydney Morning Herald, revealing the existence of her secret ‘women’s circle.’

The secret group regularly meets at a Masonic Lodge to ‘not have to be anything and have a very non-masculine, non goal-orientated space.’
