After tweeting earlier this summer about how hurt he was that he wasn’t invited his Drake & Josh co-star Josh Peck’s wedding, Drake Bell admitted in a Facebook live chat with Entertainment Tonight that he regrets the social media meltdown.
“We’ve been together 18 years, Josh and me … We’ve been so close, it was just one of those things where you know, I’d been talking to him, and he’s been telling me about the engagement. And then I saw [the wedding] on social media,” Drake, 31, explained. “So it was just one of those things where it was just like, ‘You didn’t even tell me?! I had to find out on social media?’ And then you’re like, ‘You know what?! Fine!’ And then I’m like, ‘Wait, I probably shouldn’t have done that.’”
In hindsight, Bell said he should’ve just texted Peck, but he was “just being cranky.” (A rule we should all live by: Never use the internet when feeling emotional!) “It is what it is, dude. I love the kid,” Drake said. “No hard feelings.”
Drake’s words echo his sentiments earlier this month in a statement to People. “There are no hard feelings,” he told the magazine. “[Josh has] been my best friend for 18 years. In all honesty, we talk all the time, we’ve been talking.” And there’s more good news for fans of the brotherhood: in the Facebook live chat, Drake told Entertainment Tonight he’s very open to a Drake & Josh reunion. “I would love to do it. I would love to,” he said. “If there’s time, if it’s in our schedules and it’s right, I would jump in it in a second.”
